Improve their musical and painting skills
JFK Music & Arts Summer Camp is a summer program for young artists, where to practice music and arts activities and take part to other cultural and recreational activities to ensure learning, enhancement of creativity and fun for participants. Students will have the opportunity to improve at painting or at one of the following instruments: piano, electric and classical guitar, violin, flute, viola, cello, saxophone and clarinet.
Where the classes will be held
JFK Music & Arts Summer Camp is held at the Municipal School of Music and Arts of Almería, EMMA, a cultural and artistic reference in the province. Located in the center of the city, its unique exterior facade is clearly inspired by a piano keyboard.
The school boasts spacious classrooms and facilities for teaching music and visual arts and has a large auditorium, the perfect setting for all kinds of shows.
We decided to open the doors of the School not only to the city, but to the whole world, organizing a Summer camp where students from different continents share an experience based on a common language: music and art. We believe that the interaction between the participants is the best way to open your mind, create new experiences and improve your knowledge of the world!
Music program
For the music program, it will be divided into small groups of students who play the same instruments. You will receive remedial classes in music theory, harmony, history of western music, which will improve and deepen your musical knowledge.
During the master classes you will receive individual lessons, while all students attend as listeners.
During group classes, where all students are involved, a special focus will be devoted to technical aspects and correction of common mistakes.
Painting program
Thanks to the painting curriculum you will deepen your drawing technique and various painting techniques. Classes will be held in small groups to ensure adequate monitoring of each student. In the free expression group you will draw from life, from still lifes placed in the classroom or sculptural models. Later, you will go on excursions and also practice the portrait technique from a photograph. Teachers will provide a personalized follow-up, assessing your interests and needs, developing your skills and creative abilities.
After classes
In the afternoon, our camp offers fun cultural activities coordinated by our specialized monitors to entertain you and promote socialization. You will participate in group games, you will enjoy the pool, you will visit the city and its monuments, you will attend and participate in concerts and you will visit its best museums. And on weekends you will make excursions to Granada and the Alhambra, to Mini Hollywood, a flamenco show and much more.
